Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ray G. Jurado today sentenced former , 48, to 36 years in state prison for sex-related acts involving five teenage boys.
Jimenez was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and not to contact the victims for 10 years.
Los Angeles Unified School District officials said that Jimenez of Los Angeles, was removed from his post at Franklin High School after his April 2015 arrest
Jimenez pleaded no contest Nov. 10 to two felony counts each of continuous sexual abuse and lewd act on a child 14 to 15 years old and one count of misdemeanor sexual battery.
According to Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller, the five male victims were between 13 to 16 years old at the time of the crimes, which occurred between August 2002 and December 2014. The crimes did not happen on school grounds, said Mueller.
